My method when I find it hard to meditate is to take a very warm relaxing bath.
Use some sea salt , kelp , and sandalwood in the bath.
You can Simmer the herbs into a tea and add it to the bath.
Relax, don’t think of anything and just enjoy the bath. Air dry,or just pat dry,
put on flowing comfortable clothing or no clothing ,your choice.
Set a table with a nice Temple or Sandalwood Incense, light Purple and White candles,
Amethyst and Quartz crystals. You can add some spring water and
Fresh Flowers if you like.
Get into a comfortable sitting position, preferably do not cross arms or legs.
Use a guided meditation at 1st and when you feel ready,
just use some nice soft music, something that will help carry you away.
Now Deep breathe in through your nose ,hold 8 seconds and slowly
let it out of your mouth. Do this at least 8-10 times. now concentrate
on seeing the color red,then orange,then yellow,green.blue,indigo,
orchid and then solid white which will surround you and your space.
Ask your guides for protection during your meditation. Ask your guides and teachers to come and aid you with your meditation, to help you find that special place you want to visit, ocean, mountains wherever you will feel safe and comfortable.
Now see yourself walking down a staircase while counting 1-10 and you will be in your special space.
By now you should start to feel a change or shift in your energy.
Accept this and relax. Listen to your music, thoughts will start to
flow and before you know it you will be sitting in your space. You may see and hear things while you are there. Just let it all flow. When you are ready- usually about 20 minutes walk back to the staircase, walking back up the stairs and counting 10-1 back to the present time and space. Not only will you be super relaxed ,but you will have enjoyed a nice meditation.
I suggest you keep a meditation journal so you can go back and look it over. You may find some of it comes together and you will start to see and understand the messages.
